We are still buzzing from the energy and excitement of our first-ever stand at the Kent Construction EXPO. The event marked a significant milestone for Consult Group, and we are thrilled to say it was a resounding success that will certainly not be our last. It was a fantastic opportunity to bring together our teams from Consult Construct, Consult Sustain, and Consult LDN to connect with the wider industry, share what we do, and learn from the best in the business.
The day was filled with insightful conversations, valuable connections, and a brilliant sense of community. From meeting new faces and catching up with valued clients to taking part in the fun and games, the EXPO was a powerful reminder of the dynamic and collaborative spirit of the construction sector. We left feeling inspired, energised, and more connected to our local industry than ever before.
Engaging with the Industry
The Kent Construction EXPO is one of the premier events in the South East's construction calendar, and being there as an exhibitor was a fantastic experience. Our stand served as a central hub for the entire Consult Group, allowing us to showcase our integrated, multidisciplinary approach to construction consultancy. It was a brilliant platform for colleagues from all three of our divisions to engage with visitors and discuss how our collective expertise can support a huge range of projects.
Beyond our own stand, the event was a hive of activity and learning. The programme of talks and speakers was both informative and engaging, offering the latest news, trends, and insights on all things construction. From discussions on sustainable building practices and new technologies to updates on regulations and economic forecasts, the sessions provided valuable takeaways for our team. It was a great opportunity to listen, learn, and ensure we remain at the forefront of industry developments.
More Than Just Business: Fun and Fundraising
While the networking and learning opportunities were invaluable, the day was also about having fun and giving back. We wanted our stand to be an interactive and enjoyable space for visitors, and our charity dartboard proved to be a massive hit.
In the spirit of friendly competition, we invited visitors to try their hand at darts. For every successful throw that hit the board, Consult Group made a donation to our chosen charity, the Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS). This brilliant organisation provides a 24/7 life-saving service across our region, and its ability to reach any part of Kent, Surrey, or Sussex in under 30 minutes is often critical.
The dartboard was not only a source of great entertainment but also a meaningful way for us to support a cause that is close to our hearts. We were delighted to see so many people take part, and their enthusiasm helped us raise funds that will directly contribute to keeping the KSS helicopters flying and saving lives. A huge thank you to everyone who stepped up to the oche!
Celebrating Our Winner
To add to the excitement, we also ran a prize draw for visitors to our stand, with a bottle of champagne up for grabs. It was our small way of saying thank you to everyone who took the time to stop by and chat with us.

Building Connections, Old and New
For us, the greatest success of the Kent Construction EXPO was the people. The event provided a rare opportunity to connect face-to-face with so many different individuals from across the industry. It was wonderful to catch up with our amazing clients in a relaxed and informal setting, strengthening the partnerships we value so highly.
Equally, we had a fantastic time meeting new faces. We spoke with potential clients, skilled suppliers, and talented professionals, all of whom contribute to the rich ecosystem of the construction sector. These conversations are the starting point for future collaborations and partnerships, and we are excited about the new relationships forged during the day.
The vibrant atmosphere was made even better by the efforts of the other brilliant exhibitors. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the other stands, taking part in their games, and enjoying the various snacks and merchandise on offer. The sense of community and shared passion for the industry was palpable throughout the day.
